Fire Damage in a Public School, Conroe, TX

A fire had started in the boys bathroom due to student vandalism. The boys started the waste baskets on fire that smoked throughout the school leaving smoke and soot residue.

When it comes to fire damage in a school the building is easy to clean. It is all the contents that are more difficult. Each item needs to be removed, cleaned and deodorized. The deodorization is the most important process and can take some time. If a piece of content is porous, such as the plastic chairs in the second picture, the item will take in the smoke particles that will continue to smell for many months after the fire.
